Everyone, go download "Omnomnom" right now. It is an amazingly polished and even more amazingly FREE game that I would have gladly paid for had I known what I was getting. I won't elaborate but I promise you won't be disappointed. Besides, it's FREE but only for a limited time so it's best that I don't leave you with too much to read.

Ummm, do you have any association with them? Because you seem REALLY into it...

Either way, neat looking and pretty polished gameplay. I'd say this is a good game to get if you used to enjoy playing it on your Nokia 5100 (Gosh, I'm an old young person! :D).

Haha, I used to borrow other people's cell phones if my Nokia died just to play this game back in the day. But no, I'm not associated with them in anyway LoL.

Glad you enjoy it though. I was targeting folks who used to play this game much like I did.

I'm lazy (as I'm sure others are), do you mind posting a direct iTunes Store link? :D

And anything can be better than TiltSnake, what a horribly programmed game.

Where is the snake from installer?

I've been waiting for whoever made that version to publish it to the App Store ( You know, the one with the Apple and Vista logos; the Vista logo would kill you :D ). It is so much better than all of the ones currently on the app store - some times I miss my Jailbreaking days!

I won't elaborate but I promise you won't be disappointed.

So, um, why won't you elaborate? Do you think people will get turned off and not buy your game if you do? Seems rather strange that someone would seem so enthuasiastic about a game and decide not to tell people anything about it. Especially if it's just a snake game...how could a snake game be done well with only iPhone controls? Virtual d-pad's suck for fast-action, and tilt for a 4-directional fast-action game that needs accuracy isn't that much of an improvement either.

Wow, you can't be serious.

I didn't feel I needed to elaborate considering I figured the only people who would care were folks looking for a decent version of Snake which I stumbled across and wanted to share.

My game?? Haha, if I could program/develop games, I wouldn't waste my time posting only to be ridiculed by an arrogant ass like you. Back to EverythingiCafe I go. They actually appreciate updates on new apps that just came out unlike you. I don't know what crawled up your ass, perhaps one of the lesser snake apps wiggled in there since you were unable to control it properly.

Btw, it does use a virtual keypad and it works pretty well. I've found it to be a bit difficult to navigate super tight turns on the hardest difficulty but it's definitely do-able with some patience.

You, sir, need to relax. Go outside. Don't worry, your iPhone should have reception out there since it seems like you've yet to venture that way in quite some time.

To everyone else who likes it, I TOLD YOU.
I've already spent about an hour just trying to beat my highest score on the Large map/fastest speed and the d-pad does have its moments but if you're cognizant of where your fingers should be oriented and don't get caught up too much in the action it's pretty darn playable.

I thought it was pretty cool. Definately captured the retro feel and look...pretty well done IMO

I've had that problem with quite a few apps unfortunately. Usually a quick reboot (holding "Home" and "Sleep" keys until it powers off and comes back to Apple log) does the trick.

Hope that helps.

So, since the OP still refuses to say hardly anything about this app other than how good it is (and saying bad things about me for some strange reason)... would someone like to fill me in what it is about? Is it just a straight snake game with nothing special at all? Is there anything particularly good about this one that makes it better than any other snake game (such as TiltSnake)? Does it have cool graphics, sound, music? How are the controls, since I've never read about any good implementation of d-pad controls at all in any fast-action iphone game/emulator ever?

I just tried it and the graphics are clean and the controls are easy, but there isn't much gameplay. As far as I could tell, it was just a snake on an empty board getting progressively bigger.

What I'd want out of a snake app is something like nibbles for qbasic, where there are levels with progressively harder wall arrangements, and there are a set number of labeled dots that you need to collect before moving on to the next level.

Manuevering my snake around an empty board got boring so I'm removing it.

In a way I agree. What's the excitement that somehow turns into some elementary school BS of "I'm not telling you why it is cool"?

Dude are you 10 because it sounds like it. The guy was only saying that it sounded silly that you wouldn't tell people why it was great and then to follow it up with "I TOLD YOU", you told us what? The game is out there and we should go search for it? Really now, both of you actually need to relax.

Ok ok, now you and him just need to hug it out and knock it off.

Tilt snake is a joke, this game, not so much to be honest. In the end it is free and if it does suck, it can be removed at no cost to anyone.

Thanks for the link Arn.
