Snap Desktop Icons to Left? - OSX

Hi all

Just wondering if there was some soft of terminal command or third party application that would allow me to have Desktop Icons on my Mac automatically go to the left side of the screen instead of the right? I just feel that it looks a lot better this way. If I use snap to grid, it snaps it a good 5cm from the left side, no matter how small I make the icons, and if I use just non-snap-to-grid so to speak, its never neat enough. Let me know if you have any suggestions or comments.

You have two issues. -BigMac- is correct that you cannot get all icons to default to the left. However, you are going after the wrong setting to eliminate the space on the left. Change the grid spacing, not the icon size.
