When I'm typing an email on iPhone se I noticed a sharp snapping noise when I hit a key (not always the same key).

Any ideas what's happening; anyone had a similar experience?

Much louder than keyboard clicks; almost sounds like an electrical snapping sound. I only heard it six or seven times before I stopped typing fearing some electrical damage to come.

The simple test would be using the volume switch on the device and turning it down all the way to see if you can still hear it.

It’s extremely unlikely to be electrical snapping. If it was you would hear it all the time when using the device, not just in one application.

No I don't. Interestingly, I haven't heard the snapping sound since the original incident. Here's hoping,,,,
