I have my Mac Studio since wednesday and I'm very satisfied. Only today I had a problem. It was the first day that I used a wireless keyboard and mouse and when the Mac waked up from sleep I had only snow on my monitor. I had to use the power button of the monitor to switch it off and back on. Placing the monitor before the screen instead of behind seemed to solve the problem. However, when I choose the sleep command and I immediately click on the mouse, the snow still appears. I didn't have this problem with my Mac Pro 2009. Should I be worried?

Snow is caused by an issue with the strength of the signal and likely an issue with the cable. I've seen that in the past. Can you try another cable?

But not for 100%. Occasionally, I still have the snow after waking from sleep, especially after a sleep for more than an hour.

I've had the same problem repeatedly since my Studio arrived. It seems to stem from M1 Macs being incredibly picky about HDMI connections, as I used the same display with multiple older Macs and never once had an issue.

Most of the time quickly sleeping and waking the Mac fixes it.

Looking at other posts it seems like a USB3 to HDMI cable might be a better bet, but I'm holding off for now, as I just need this display to last a few more weeks until my Studio Display (hopefully) turns up.

I highly suggest that you contact Apple regarding this problem so that they are aware of the issue and can hopefully resolve it via a firmware or software update.
