Anyone here that has verified that the latest EFI Firmware Update 1.6 can still run Snow Leopard on a 2011 Mac Mini?

Thanks.

The 2011 Mac Mini cannot run Snow Leopard at all. It refuses to start and gets lots of kernel panics.

Their job is to market Mac Minis to sell. Snow Leopard is a popular choice to run because of it's full server ability. If the 2011 Mini's could run Snow Leopard, they would advertise it as such and have an option for it in their store.

Not so, because the Apple Discussion quoted above makes it clear that a bit of hacking/modding is required in order to get SL to run.

Once properly installed it runs fine.

LOL. You apparently did not try. It runs flawless. You only need a 2009 Mini or so to do the installation, and you need a few KEXTS of the original Lion install. That is all. Modding is a too big term for that.

I need to find someone who has a patched install.

You can patch it yourself. It is peanuts. Just copy a few files from the pre-installed Lion.

I did it already.
And you actually patch a Macbookpro 10.6.7 install with a 10.6 retaiul file.
update using the Apple combo 1.1 update, and run a special installer by a guy called Newfoundglory.
