noob here so might sound like a dumb question but is there a way to remove the password entry thing that comes up everytime you install something?

i dont even have a password so i press enter to hurry it up.

It's the way OS X works, live with it, it makes the OS more secure unlike Windows.

Edit: actually there is but I am not going to tell you, safer for you.

The reason for the prompt is to ensure you want to install the product and it needs security to write to certain directories.

While Mac's don't have viruses, there are malware and by blindly hitting enter without a password or wishing to do away with it altogether opens the door to a whole lot of headaches.

I'd recommend having a password and being sure of what's occurring when your install software

System Preferences > Accounts > My Account > Password > Change Password ...
