I'm about to embark on a purchase of a used iMac with the intel processor.
My question is if the iMac is about a year and half old what will an upgrade to Snow Leopard cost, and how would I do it?

If it already has Leopard - $29

If it is Tiger - $129 (I think)

You will buy Snow Leopard when it comes out and just install it
It is pretty straight forward

Woof, Woof - Dawg

You would buy the upgrade disc I would assume, for however much that costs. 30 US isn't it? That's if the Mac has Leopard, which I assume it would.

Just a note though, you might be better off getting a new base model iMac so that you have a CUDA / Open CL supported graphics card, just in case. Never know when you need that extra bit of processing power.

Just asking, does the early 2009 iMac 20" store bought have CUDA / Open CL supported graphics card ?
