How has snow lep affected WoW? is it now able to run in 64bit? has SL changed the graphics?

Although the OS doesn't really have much to do with the way a game appears (if the game is made natively for that OS) I am glad to say that snow leopard in 32bit or 64bit mode can run World of Warcraft just as it was in the last version of OSX with no complications.

ahh. what are the advantages to running WoW in 64bit?

Seems to be taking a little more memory (or maybe the OS is taking more memory?). I had to upgrade to 4GB from 2GB for it to run smoothly with all my addons.

wasnt sure. color scheme difference at most? anything look noticably different?

The only reason I brought up kernel mode was to dispell any worries related to experience with Windows XP 64bit which had 32bit compatibility issues or the funkyness of linux 64bit libs and 32bit libs not playing well together.

The Game looks the same in both 32bit and 64bit mode. Wow doesn't have much to benefit from for supporting client side 64bit (if they chose to do so). While I can't speak to the game being "Darker" in windowed mode as u have not encountered that problem I can say that the game has no cosmetic changes and runs just as it did on the previous version of Leopard (note I have always had 4gigs of ram so I also can't comment on my addons possibly affecting speed negatively)

The Addons will chewy up memory, more so if it is poorly coded. On my system, with 4GB of ram, and only 3 addons, I use ~700MB or so of Memory.

well Im quite sure the darker thing has to do with the 2.2 Gamma that shipped with Snow Leopard

I dont know, I play in windowed mode about 95% of the time, and there is no difference in color between windowed and full screen.

On my early 2008 mac pro (NVID 8800GT) in windowed mode the window was completely black until I was able to change the setting to enable vertical sync. Kind of makes sense but it is still odd.

On a side note, I noticed that WOW plays better in Leopard then in Snow Leopard. The graphics look better in Leopard. Am I crazy?
