downloaded and up date to adobe flash and MegaBackup snuck in with it and how do I get rid of it. and by the way so did a bunch of ads along with "techsupport" to help get rid of the ads. I told them no and the ads left as well. Need to get rid of MegaBackup! I didn't think Mac was vulnerable to that stuff.

Did you download the Flash update from Adobe, or from some other site?

I keep Safari free of Flash for several reasons.

If I absolutely have to go to a website with Flash, I use Chrome. Chrome is free of the crappy Flash plugin, but supports Flash websites.

Same here, really dont like to have flash installed (OS X or win) and if i really have to see some flash content i use Chrome (and that is the sole purpose of it).

I don't know what MegaBackup is, but i would try to kill all its processes in Activity Monitor and then search and delete all entries it made. Search it with mdfind -name "megabackup" in Terminal, if that's how it's spelled.

Macs are vulnerable to adwares to, so you should look out from where are you getting your software.

Don't log into any banking or social media sites until you clean this infection - you might be sending your credentials to Russia or China. And don't read web email, unless you want to give the criminals your login info.

Apples are definitely vulnerable to all kinds of attacks that trick the user into downloading and installing malware.

The classic notion of viruses is basically dead - all systems are pretty much immune to self-propagating malware. The big thing now is attacks that have an attachment that exploits a flaw, or simple popups that say "Your computer has a serious Flash security problem - click "Install" to fix this".

Reformat your OS drive and reinstall is the safest approach.

Finally found Terminal, searched: found entries, don't know how to find to delete them.

I'm guessing that most of them are in the Library folder (except for App and Safari cache). To go to Library, open Finder, click on Go tab and when you press Alt/Option key Library will show among others in that home folder menu.
I would attach screen capture but I'm on the phone right now.

Fortunately Google is more open and friendly, therefore they provide a terrific experience Apple can't match. Thanks to Google, iOS and OS X deliver enhanced usefulness.
