I am curious if I am just being petty, or do I have a legitimate reason to be jealous .

Let me explain the last 5 days . Saturday we went to the Apple store with my mother in law . She wanted a new laptop and didn't know what to get. After to trips to the store, and some discussion of needs we ended up getting her a 13.3" Air. The next day I spent a large chunk of my day hooking up the networked printer she got , installing software, and general explaining of what to do when kind of things. After that she decided to take my wife back to the Apple store to get her graduation present early. My wife's a photographer and is almost done with school, and has some jobs this summer and needed a desktop (there are none in the house currently) to make it a little easier to work on her projects and more stability. So we get a new iMac for her so Sunday night I spend a large chunk of my night working on her iMac installing Lion, office, and her Adobe products. While all of this is going on we dropped off her 3 generations past Macbook pro for the third time because of the logic board issues that run had. After considerable back and forth with the stores techs because they couldn't recreate it while they had the system they finally decided to replace the machine with a new Macbook Pro (only 40 days left on her applecare nice) . So guess what I'm doing tomorrow.
All that said I don't mind at all doing this for my wife or her mother and am happy for both because they both needed what they got. But I write this on my 2 year old alienware, and my newest Apple product is a 3rd gen ipod touch. So I think writing this helped but a little jealous and I want a new toy for me ;)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

The alienware serves a purpose. And we can't afford anything new right now and honestly the next thing we buy will probably be a touch for my mom because her 1gb shuffle isn't cutting it especially since everytime she wants new music I have to do it on my iTunes account

Your wife has two new machines, if you are very good maybe she will share one with you. :D

Generally speaking Alienware is a good laptop and as you posted it serves a purpose.

I can see anyone getting a little "twinge" inside of them when they get two new computers (in a sense for the price of one). I'd say enjoy what you have and if your wife is happy then you'll be much better off :)

That's were I'm leaning right now. She keeps saying I can use hers but I'm real touchy about using other people's computers and people using mine. Not really sure why but that's just how I am if I start using it ill start setting it up my way and I want to avoid that.

As a side note my wife uses Facebook I do not. When I was at work last night night I was talking to my peer and he had mentioned how he new what I was doing all week because she was singing my praises on Facebook so I feel a little better now.
