Who else thinks that Apple is going to make a big push for productivity on iPadOS15, so it can really start competing with MacOS? It feels like they’ve polished and refined what they introduced last year, and next year leaves the door wide open to close the gap between the Mac and iPad experience.

But why would they want to compete with their own product

if anything, with widgets, and the lack of wow features vs adding enhancements to existing features that iOS 14 is more of the productivity base

I think they are pushing and we are pulling. The most used platform in the world is the phone. Most non-content creators, can and do get by with an iPad. One of my kids in Middle school, does all her work on it, and it is the only computer my wife uses. (Different devices)

On MacOS we are seeing more universal apps, so Marzipan became Project Catalyst and somewhere I read that the work apps, Numbers, Slides, and Pages, are going more that route as well.

There are many arguments for and against. I'll embrace it, if it works for me. I'm a programer and need to remote into work, through Horizon Client, so I need a bigger screen, haven't tried to exist solely on iPad with external monitor. Maybe I should.
