i have been using Instagram++ and Facebook++ and all of the sudden there were blocked. These are improvements over the stock versions and now they won’t allow me to “verify” them in order to use them. And they wonder why people jailbreak their phones?

I have an “internet connection...” This is BS.

This is just a case of the app developer's certificate running out. It's not something Apple just did now. You should be able to redownload the apps and use them fine again soon. Although if they do eventually stop working permanently you shouldn't be surprised, and that has nothing to do with Apple. These apps are in clear violation to Instagram and FB's terms and conditions, and your accounts on the respective platforms could also be banned for the usage of these apps.

THIS.!! I’m amazed how ignorant so many people are about the services and platforms they use.

Andy by the way OP, you don't need to be jailbroken to install Facebook++ or Instagram++ on any iOS device. Just go to the developers website and all the latest versions of these apps have the ++ applied to them and you just side load them.

Curious, what features do these offer? I've been considering them, but wasn't sure they were safe, or worth it?

The biggest thing that I've ever used it for was the ability to download anyone's video that was posted. I don't really get much use out of FaceBook ++ these days. As for Instagram ++, I use it to be able to save any posted picture to my phone. You can also change the way your feed looks as fake that you are a verified user good for posting screenshots of your profile to others. All I really use it for is saving the pics though. You can also hide the stories part if you don't like them.

No third party app will ever be able to compete with the security of the native first party apps. So if you’re worried about security, always stick to first party apps.

These apps are inherently "hacks" of the service in one way or another. Spotify++ for instance tries to let you listen to songs with no ads on a free account, so yeah. You're absolutely right on that one.

You van barely use these apps because of all the pop up ads… I like being able to download photos/ videos from instagram++ Not many added features in Facebook++, I didn't use that one much...

Apply blocked the "Profiles" you had to use to "Verify" the apps… Is there a way around this…? Are there other sources? Do you have links…?

Apple didn't block them. They are developer certificates that run out after a certain while. Then the developer sign the apps again with a new certificate, you redownload the new certificate and it should work again.

"van". I believe that was a typo of can.
And yes. The apps are cluttered with ads. Ads that mean the person who tweaked the original app is making money off of someone else's service, in clear violation of what said service allows.

You can install the latest ++ apps without revokes. Unlimapps recently updated all their apps.

If I get a developer account does this mean my Protube will not expire after 7 days but 1 year instead ?

I just looked Unlimapps up on Google to find an app maintainer for download. I have these ++ apps on my JB iPad and had no idea you could download them on a non JB device. I downloaded them onto my non JB 7+. All apps are working and since I had paid for ad removal to the developer prior on my JB apps, I was able to remove ads in the ++ settings. According to Unlimapps Blog, there are two app maintainers that say they will honor the ++ premium ad removal for users

I always make sure that I never post a link to those sites because even though those apps are free on the app store, it is still technically considered piracy since you are not getting them from the App Store officially.
