So are the new displays any different at all?

So they are calling the “new” displays a Liquid Retina and saying they are all new etc etc. but specs are the exact same. So is the display panel any different in the 12.9? Or is it just “new” cause there’s less of a bezel?

Supposedly smaller transistors and larger light aperture allow better colors and use less energy due to letting more light through. They talked about it during the iPhone XR release since the XR was the first device with this new “Liquid Retina” display.

I expect it to be a little better, but nothing dramatic. I'll see when I get it.
