So iPad Pro 9.7" launched 31/3/17 and now obsolete by new 10.5" only 10 weeks later, i feel totally ripped off. As I bought it from John Lewis, Apple refuse to allow me to exchange! Any ideas how to get round this? If I sell as second hand I lose cash, any ideas?

Obsolete? I am sure it still works and will be supported for a few more years. There were rumors for months that a new 10.5 was coming out at WWDC, not sure why you bought in the first place. Your only option is to sell and buy the new one if you think it's better for you.

Some American Express Cards have a return protection up to 90 days (depending on which card amounts are limited). So if you paid with AMEX check to see if your card has the return protection benefit

I think your best bet is to sell it and cut your losses if you really want the new iPP. THe time when you purchased it is way too long for any merchant to accept return or refund for the full price. Even if they accept it you might be charge a re-stocking fee. The only store I can think of that accept returns that long is Costco. Sorry but I think your options are limited.
