So Catalina only supports digitally signed apps?

Hi I read on twitter that Catalina will only run third party apps that are digitally signed? Any confirmation? Thanks!

By default, yes. But it can be bypassed, fortunately, so don’t worry.

yes but like all version of macos that have been partially locked down you can bypass gatekeeper

sudo spctl --master-disable

if the app still wont launch when you enable everywhere setting you can remove the quarantine attribute

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /path/to/file
