Hi,
Now that Vodafone Uk are getting the iphone in a couple of weeks. Do you think the iphones will come unlocked? I do hope so.

I don't mind if its done in the same way that O2 just unlocked their phones.
What do you think?

Tim

Chances are, the iPhone released by Vodafone will be locked to their network.

In fact, I remember a mod on Vodafones eForum mentioned this, and that their was no current plans to offer an unlocking service like O2's.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for my unlock from O2. Already filled in their online form a week ago now.

My O2 unlock took forever. in the end I had to escalate it and called them. It came through pretty quickly after that.

Vodafone will have you in contract so it shouldn't matter if it's locked or unlocked.

I tried twice previously, however, they was both rejected because I didn't have sufficient credit I think. I've submitted this third time now, got at least £15 in credit, hopefully it'll go through now. Got a Vodafone Sim only that I have signed on to waiting for me.
