Hi guys!
I'm here just to say that I'm very happy with my purchase!
I'm coming from a first gen black nano, and just bought the 4th gen (black as well)
At first, I thought that I wouldn't notice much of a difference, but now I'm wowed!
First, the screen is amazing. I didn't think it would be that bright and sharp!
Also, the UI is so simple and so intuitive! And very beautiful: i love the transitions between menus and the pictures on the main screen when you're with the selection on either music or photos. It's so personal that I love it!!
The accelerometer was a nice addition and coverflow works perfectly for me. Actually, everything works perfectly. Even my first gen, that is over 3 years old, works just like as if it was day one :D .
Anyways, I can say that it was a nice replacement.
And I just can't wait for next tuesday... for the new macbooks to come
I'm lovin' it :D

The iPod nano 4G is not without its flaws, but for what it's worth, it's really quite nice. I actually have had a nano every generation from the second onward, so coming from the third gen, there's very little technical difference. But Cover Flow is now easier to activate and smoother, and of course, having 16 GB of space is also very nice, considering it's the same $199 as last year.

I can only imagine what a difference it must be going from the 1G to the 4G. A bigger and better screen, a much more durable chassis, and enhanced user interface and more storage, all for less. Remember that the 4G iPod nano used to cost $249, and now that same price point doesn't even exist anymore.

Yes, winging is in bad style. ;)

I like my 4th gen Nano well enough. It's certainly pretty. It needs a few trick applications to show off the accelerator though.

Congratulations, and may you and your nano live long and prosper together. It is nice indeed to see a positive thread, and terrific to see someone honestly enjoying a product. Good luck with it.
Cheers

Just wait until he grows tired of the constantly swinging screen in portable use thanks to the accelerometer :p

The Nano is my favourite of the current iPod refresh.

lol... After looking around it looks like I'm the only one who likes the coverflow feature..

I don't mind it at all as a feature and it works well on the current Nano, it's just that like the Touch (if not more so, due to the form factor) it swings into action at inopportune times in real-life portable use.
