so im wondering has anyone dropped there iPhone yet. I know every time on holding mine I get a little nervous because they are a little slippery on the edges. I'm wondering how well they hold up? I guess it depends on where and how it lands.

All the stress tests indicate that the only place likely to get a scratch is the gloss metal trim.
I wouldn't mind an invisible shield for the back of my iphone. (when I get it)

Yup- This guy did.

Perhaps I shouldn't be admitting this but I have dropped mine twice in two days from pocket level (I'm 6'2") onto a concrete sidewalk. a couple of small metal burrs on the outer frame but no other visible or functionality damage. Scared the life out of me as I have done that to an old 40gb ipod and watched it explode but this little thing seems quite durable. Buying a case today (third time might be a charm in a whole new way)

I just dropped mine. I was taking it out of the case and was thinking it would be horrible if I droped it and then bam! Landed on the bus floor. No scratches or dents. Back into the case it goes to stay. Forever

dont you just hate when that happens... i was thinking the exact same thing, but i cought it before it hit the floor :)

i think theres been 3 or 4 times where i have gotten close to dropping it, it would slip out f my hands for a second but i caught it. im thinking those iPhone skins would be good because it will give you a firmer grip and if you do drop it it should protect it better. i mean of course you are going to compromise that slim sexy look but i think it will be better to have a working iPhone.

I almost dropped it once on my own. The other time, a friend was talking with his hands and knocked it from mine. It did a slow-motion somersault in the air (just like in the movies) and began to fall. I reached out like a ninja and snatched it cleanly from the air. Lol, it was a once in a lifetime catch. :)

I dropped mine from my hand onto my MacBook Pro. About 10 inches. It has a little tiny nick on the metal casing the size of a pen tip.

I wasn't too happy. But I decided this crap happens. You can't keep something you use every day perfect.
