So How Do I Unlock the iPhone for just the iPod/Wifi?

I really want to hop onto one of the refurbed 8 gigs and cancel my order for the 16 gig Touch if I can. I really like the camera aspect along with being able to use it as a phone if I feel like doing so.

The problem is I cannot find a clear cut way to unlock the thing. I read about unlocks but can't find out how to do so. Please point me in the right direction.

Does anyone agree with my logic? less space, but more functions?

Unfortunately still not Mac compatible. iActivator seems to be the only option at the time being. It's what I'll be using.

EDIT: though you should know that YouTube won't work, unless you perform a relatively complex hack, requiring a windows machine.

Has anyone done this? I'm so scared of making my iPhone a brick. I paid $400 for the Touch, but the camera is enticing on the iPhone.

Do you think it's worth the hassle for the camera and a few extra apps?
