No lock-ups. Only did a full shutdown when I thought it was low on memory, it turns out the app just had a bug in it.

Other than the occasional ABC app crashing as mentioned by numerous others, have had no other issues with 2 weeks of heavy use. Wish my iPhone cooperated so well ;).

To be truthful, mine had locked up 8-9 times already since first purchasing it but only while using air video stream.

I'm not too sure if its due to this program or wifi issues (apple support forum has a thread about this), but from what I read, if you hard boot your router it may fix this issue. I've rebooted my router and since then no more lockups (crossing fingers).

But other than air video, I've had no problems with anything else.

I've had mine since launch, and I've had to do a forced reboot about 5x. It's been in all kinds of different apps, so I'm not sure if it's just buggy applications or if it's the iPad itself.

So, how many times has yours frozen, and in what apps??

** EDIT **

make that 6x. just froze again using airvideo :(

My first ipad: no lock ups in Air Video but yellow stains on lcd
My Second iPad: terrible lockups on Air Video, Twitpad and even on simple apps. Dust under lcd, white pixel on star up.
My Third iPad: Perfect.

One hard crash that required a restart, 10+ app crashes.

If there was one thing I could add, it would be more memory! 256 is just annoying, 1GB would probably still be fairly cheap, and I'd pay extra. Ah well, undoubtedly it'll be in the feature list for 2nd or 3rd gen :|

Best,
David

Damn mine froze twice today while watching a youtube video from safari. I wonder if its a firmware/software issue or if I got a defective one?

It seems to run everything else fine and at times I can watch videos hours on end without a freeze.
