Like the title says, name your macbook and how is the battery life (compared to mavericks or calculated hours in idle)

My MBA 2012 after clean install almost in idle was showing 5 hours.. Mavericks 7,25

To me it's bad. If it's normal with Yosemite unfortunately i'm going back :( 2,5 hours is huge.. I guess 2013-2014 MBA's won't feel this hit as much, they've got awesome battery life already.

Really? You're basing battery life of a rough estimate? Give it a few days to settle in, a lot of things are probably running in the background that have to do with the new update.

Really, yeah. It's a clean install, i waited till everything completed and made sure nothing was eating the battery. It's not my first day in OS X ;) There's nothing to wait 2 days for either, it's not a potato so it can settle, cmon now.

Mine original rMBP is about the same, not that I trust that number.

Its not precise of course, but at least its something. Its like weather forecast. They say 75F, you know it won't be 75F, but at least you know it won't be 40F either
