and it was better than I thought.

From the way some people are talking about it, I expected it to be HUGE, SLOW, and over all lame. Total opposite.

The screen was nice, perfect size and great quality. The touchscreen worked great. The phone's OS was responsive (anyone that used a RAZR can tell you what a crappy phone OS is). I only used it for 5 minutes, but I was impressed.

Now, I obviously haven't used it enough to catch a glimpse of the not so nice stuff. I do understand that it is a first gen phone for Apple, so they have room for improvement.

I did however not enjoy the on screen keyboard, I have a BB 8700g and I am an avid fan of hard keys, but otherwise, I still enjoyed the iPhone.

Also should note that the phone is not that expensive. Most phones, even the cheesy non feature flip phones RETAIL for over $200, its just that you get instant rebates when you sign up for new service with those phones, iPhone isn't one of them. Most of these Blackberry's retail for over $400, I paid $400 for my 8700g because I didn't want to extend my contract.

If the iPhone was available for T-Mobile, I would have one, but I do not want to switch to AT&T for one.

I do hope you guys enjoy your iPhones, I know I have envy for you iPhone owners.

i've still got my t-mobile BB ... I waited til i made up my mind about the iphone to cancel it.

a couple of points:
1) while there are plenty of issues/lack of features/bugs etc that need to be worked out the complaints will always outnumber the praise in places like this. most of these are software related and will surely be updates in the near future.

2) the KEYBOARD is much much better than you might think at first because of the error correction software. if you just plow ahead and just try to get close to hitting the right letter most times it usually works out perfectly. the times this gets difficult are putting in things the error correction can't help you with ... passwords ... web pages etc.

yeah why do people bash the keyboard. "people need their tactile feedback." what a bunch of garbage. I like that keyboard more than any other smart phone keyboard ive used. i actually prefer no tactile feedback. the crtics can take their tactile feedback garbage and well...you know...
