My MacBook Pro gets a new hard drive today because it decided to crap itself about a week ago. I havent been able to sync my iphone in that long, and keep weekly backups of my iTunes folder (rsync, woohoo!).

My question is this: How is the re-sync going to work? i'm running 1.1.1, and dont want to loose my contacts/notes/etc. where is that information stored? am i completely screwed? should i start writing it down as quickly as possible?

Thanks for all the info!

If you've got your iTunes folder backed up, then I'd think you'd only need to restore that, open up iTunes so it finds your library, then plug the iPhone in. You may want to restore your ~/Library/iTunes folder as well. Then I think you'd be set. But I'm not certain, I haven't had to do this.

I do an rsync style backup as well, via my script I have displayed at here. Wonder if it's similar to yours?
