So I got this 27in beautiful LED screen, but no good video content to fill it

I am a home theatre enthusiast, and I have setup Plex, Boxee, Netflix, Hulu, Front Row and Etc......

The menus and interfaces are absolutely stunning and the customization of them are endless.

So now I have this 27in LED iMac with greater than 1080p Resolution and these Apps look great but I want the content to look as good as the menus.

Aside from the iTunes pseudo (low frame rate) HD, does anyone have any suggestions of a resource for "stunning" video content to match my beautiful 27in screen.

It sure would have been nice to have a Blu Ray option. Hopefully the "bag of hurt" will soon be sitting on my desk killing me with pain.

Ok, so... this is only for my setup given that I have a PS3. If you do not have a PS3, I think the same can be accomplished using an external BD drive running Win in bootcamp. But my point is, you can get the content.
Its a pain to say the least, but Ive spent the last week or so ripping Blurays at 1080 in anticipation for my new iMac.

Let me know if you run into any speed bumps... it wasnt a simple process, but once I got it working I felt like I accomplished something special. So dont let your significant other make it seem like you "wasted" a whole weekend trying to get it working!

If you have a reasonably fast PC with a Blu-ray drive, it's a relatively trivial matter to convert Blu-ray movies to full-resolution MP4 or MKV files. I've ripped 40+ BDs (that I've also down-converted to 720p) for playback on my MacBook Pro. Here's a good place to get started; the only software you'll need to buy is AnyDVD HD, but the rest is open-source. Don't get discouraged...it's really very easy once you download the software you need, and RipBot264 brings everything together so that there's only one interface that you'll even interact with. I've had no problems ripping any BD that's out there.

Ditto, and they stream pretty easily over a 100Mbit network, even 1:1 disc copies for those that like menus.
