so i just jailbroke my 3gs 1.1.2 yesterday. its preety cool i really like it. i used to have my old 2g jailbroken back in the day. however i didnt know i was still going to have to pay for apps! i hate that cause the apps are so much coooler. oh and some apps are really hard to use? who can give me some sick apps that i could use that are free? any help would be greatly appreciated!

First do this:

open cydia
search "steffwiz"
tap it and install it
go back to search
install all sources
Browse through cydia for hours and see what you want.

ok cool, and im just realizing this but my ipod icon has disappeared! how can i get it back?

steffwiz was giving me ome trouble so I ended up deleting it, also it made cydia load so slower than with just a few usefull sources, dunno if that happened to anyone else though

I wouldn't install all sources if I were you...

As for paid apps in Cydia there are, what, a couple dozen vs. hundreds of free packages? And why shouldn't people who work hard to write an app make a little money off of it? I have gladly paid for Cyntact, iFile, Safari Download Manager, and PkgBackup myself.

Install Installous if you want free apps, wouldnt reccomend it though. Some people call it illegal.

I would never load Cydia up with all those sources.

I keep it to the ones I use.

Thats what i do. . Even if wanted to pirate apps, the thought of no updates drives me nuts.

did you just purchased it and jailbreak it straight out of the box? i thought you couldn't do this with the newest bootrom
