but can't bring myself to open the box lol. I went to the Apple store this afternoon with the idea of getting the 21.5" $1499 model. Looked at the 27" and ended up leaving with the entry level 27". But my desk at home is sooo small. I am really concerned about the In-your-face experience the 27" will bring. But, the 21.5 looked do small in the store.....
Need....to....break...the....seal..........:)

trust me you will get used to that screen size and everything else will feel small. Its sooooo worth it, and later on you cant use a 21.5 as a screen but with the 27 you can use it as a, external screen as well. Its your choice but i love my 27 and its not massive, for the first few days it feels large but it more than grows on you!

That's what I told the Girlfriend.

Those extra few inches seem like a lot to begin with, but after you have had the experience of the extra size for a few days, anything else just feels small in comparison.

Giggity!!!!!!!

I just got the 27" and the desk I have it on is small. I do not regret it, it will be worth it. It does take time to get used to it, but not long. I have found the new Touchpad works great for the 27 Inch. I was using the magic mouse but even with the sensitivity set to full on the mouse it took too much effort to go completely right to left. With the Touchpad it works perfectly, it seems it was almost designed for the 27". I have not turned the MM on since going to the touchpad.

I remember the day I brought home a 17" CRT in 1995 and felt it was too big. The 27" iMac felt perfect to me (altho it's on the dining table in our lounge/kitchen at the moment) but not looking forward to carrying it through to it's final home!

I unpacked it and set it up. It's not too big. I think I will manage. I am happy there are no pixel issues and the yellow/gray issue is nearly non existent. The display is excellent. Noisy Seagate drive though...

the other day, I went to the Apple store to see some of the iMacs.
I am currently a 13-inch macbook pro user, and after I saw my friend's hugeee iMac 27-inch, I fell in love with it. Well, until I went to the Apple Store. Oh my, the 27-inch has a lovely screen size! You know what they say, bigger the better. lol
