...updated successfully, just about everything on my iMac seems to be working exactly the same. I did notice the new ML notification center. Yawn. iMessage was funky for a short time, seems to have settled down.

I checked the long list of "improvements" on the Apple site. If there is something earthshattering or "breakthrough-ey," I didn't notice it.

So...

Then why did you upgrade?

I dunno. I did try out the new "Dictation" facility and it seems to understand what I say. I will use that for sure. It would be nice if Apple had a readable, usable list of the changes, along with how to implement them, and in quick form.

I actually find this list pretty readable and usable. As far as "how to implement them" goes, I think most things are pretty self-explanatory (like most things from Apple). I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but I'm not sure what else you're looking for...

Definitely worth $20 for the performance upgrades, but there isn't a whole lot of note worthy new features.

I would gladly pay $120 for a full fledged new OS like we use to get.

If it wasn't for the performance boost, I don't think I would even bother upgrading the other 4 Macs in my household. (I've only installed on my year old Air, if it slows down my other computers, there will be some big regrets! haha)
