Yes. Doesn't need to be the Apple one though IIRC.

You can DL Office 2011 if you buy it from Microsoft. There is a $12.99 fee attached to it (you can always re-download it later just like Steam) but that seems much cheaper than buying a external SuperDrive.


Otherwise if you have another Mac with a SuperDrive, you can always image the DVD and install it on your Air from the image.
