I would guess not until Saturday or Monday. I was going to pay the 13 bucks for faster shipping if that would make a difference.

I highly doubt 1-2 weeks, that'd just be crazy. They ship their Macs pretty quick. And yes, I was speaking as if it were coming out tomorrow.

If they have stock, a basic BTO is usually 2-4 business days. So that'd be next week. Depends on initial demand though

You're looking at about a week. They say 3 working days for configuring then 1-3 working days for shipment but this is for current models so no stock issues. Assuming it is released tomorrow then it will be dispatched on Saturday and with you on Monday at the very earliest. Even then you are being optimistic.

Ah... They did not announce new Air's yet. Might want to hold off on the delivery predictions till they do.

Now if I order a BTO Mini tomorrow and upgrade the shipping when do you think....... ;)

Sometime next week is fine with me, thanks.

Once Ling Ling builds it.

HEHE, JK... but seriously, usually it takes 48 hours to ship, then 3 days for FedEx International to deliver. If you chose International Priority Shipping it'll take 1 day off the delivery time generally.

I'm speaking based on having 6 CTOs this year thus far.

But FWIW I have only ordered 1 CTO as a new-release... so might vary

It will take 3-5 business days to build and take another 3-5 business days to deliver. It is coming from China. It will be around 10 business days. That's 2 weeks.

While the overview is correct, take into account a couple things..

They start building the second your payment clears. China's manufacturing is 24\7 and FedEx has 2 flights out per day. Generally it ships within 24 hours of the time the order is placed, and then it automatically gains a day getting to the US due to dateline. If it leaves at 3pm from China, it gets into the US the same day at 8 am... then sorts out through there... sometimes you get them 3 calendar days from when you order, it all depends. I live in SF, so they sometimes ship out and I get them the same day they ship since FedEx's west coast hub is right across the bay in Oakland.

CTO ordered online usually pushes out 'ships within 24 hours' to '3 business days'

time from shipping to delivery depends on your location.

in Australia for example, a CTO Mac ships out of Taiwan or Shanghai after 3 business days and then takes a further 4 business days to arrive here - I'm in a regional area 500kms north of Sydney.

my CTO MBPro ordered Monday the 18th is promised for delivery by July 26 (next Tues) even though it hasn't shipped as yet.

Apple over the years have been uncannily accurate in delivery estimations in my experience.
when I bought a stock RevC Air a year or so back, I ordered it in the morning it was released and had it in my hands 9 am the next morning :D

I ordered the latest iMac BTO on the day it was up for order, May 3rd. I chose next day air (cost $50). It shipped on the 5th and I received it on the 6th.

Actually thats a week and a half, four more days would make it two weeks!;)
