Tomorrow Im going to take the plunge and go for 2 gigs of RAM for my MacBook and have a few questions:

1. Is there any thing I should be worried about from this brand?
2. If for some reason the RAM doesn't work how is Neweggs return/exchange policy?
3. I have been reading/watching a lot on how to install the RAM. I have done it a few times on PC's but never on a Mac, is there anything different I should be worried about other than pushing rather hard to get the RAM in?
4. Is there anything I should do after turning on the MacBook for the first time with the new RAM installed?

Ill keep you posted on how the install works.

I have 2 sticks of the same ram in my macbook, works great, never had a problem. read the reviews, a lot of people use them..

As for installing it, there are some small screws to remove (just look at the manual), and there is a lever that you move. this lever will release the ram, and you can pull them out. (NOTE: you might see some white paste on the ram, this is normal, don't freak out :) ). then just slide the new ram in, and push really hard until the ram goes into the slot. It isn't that hard, at least I didn't think it was that hard.

hope that helps..

I bought ram for my 12in. PB from Newegg and haven't had any problems. However... I would spend a couple extra dollars on Newegg and go with Crucial if you can. I think others will agree.

Why don't you buy G.Skill RAM? Good cheap RAM. Also you get free 3-day shipping with that and its 79.99. That's almost a $10 profit :D

Plus, and Patriot may be the same, G.Skill is backed by a lifetime warranty. So even if you do have a problem with a stick, it's protected.

I use G.Skill and love it, but to each his own.

i just popped two of those exact same 1GB patriot sticks in my white 2ghz macbook and it runs beautifully, passed apple extended hardware test.
