I'm be interested too... Bought the MacBook, but the screen is terrible!

Love everything about the Air, except I wished it ran a little cooler.

You mean the white low end macbook I suppose, it can't be that the screen for the aluminum one is terrible, I ve been reading good things about it...

For those who had the first little toaster :D

So was it really THAT hot? Come on you guys, I am planning to have a family at some point, come on apple, don't let your laptops fry our....nuts....Penryn's at 25 tdw so this should be 10w lower than previous one, so it should be cooler, but the nvidia chip might add extra heat....:(

Yes...the 2.4 high end Aluminum one. Returned it a few days ago. There is a 7+ page thread and posts all over the tech blogs about the terrible viewing angle. The MBA screen is much better and not as glossy or glassy shall I say.

I also bought a new MBP, and had to return that one too. The screens were just way too glossy. I've had glossy MBP's and the 1st gen MBA, and never had a problem with glossy until I used the new unibody ones.

I'm so disappointed that Apple chose to go the iMac screen design route. Personally I refuse to use any of the models with the black glossy bezel and glass overlay. :(

Ok, I see hadn't noticed those threads, thanks for the heads up buddy, was reading some reviews over at a rather good notebook related site and the faired the screen much improved than the previous macbook but definately a step down than the pro, and worse too wrt the air. I ve seen the air quite a few times up close, to me, cause I ve seen it side by side to a lot of vista lappies, to me, it has one, if not THE best screen around like you said. And like you said it's a strange kind of glossy, not too glossy or reflective, just enough to make it look great.

I am so sorry to hear about your negative experiences with the glossy screens, I am in Europe and we 've not even had a model in our local shop to see, so I can't judge, but despite the pro glossy camp, I can understand how people can have serious issues with the display.
