Of course this might be iOS 15-related, rather than device specific for the Mini 6, but I haven’t really seen anyone else discussing this issue. I’m getting lots of lags, freezes, and stuttering animations while web-surfing on Safari and during certain games. My Mini 5 running iOS 14.8 shows no such symptoms. Rebooting the apps and the device don’t change the behavior.

Am I the only one? I did restore from a backup of my Mini 5, so it’s possible that could be causing an issue as well.

I feel stuttering animation happens sometime on the new iPad mini, but it’s hard to tell if I’m just imaging things or it’s really dropping frames during animations ?

Did any of you with no issues do a restore from a previous backup?

Nothing here, fast and smooth. Perhaps give it a few days to see if it settles down.

I updated my Mini 5 to iOS 15, did a backup, restored from backup, no issues. However, I haven’t used Safari.

So, as a follow-up to my lags and freezes while using Safari, it was being caused by one or more of the ad blockers that I was using. I was using three different ad blockers on my Mini 5, and when I reduced it to just one on the Mini 6 Safari started flying. And I’m pretty sure that the game that I play that still suffers from lag is because it needs optimization for iOS 15.
