Is this a iOS thing or a 6s thing?
Yea, not sure why its an iPhone 6S feature. As said, it's an iOS 9 feature. The 6 and 6 Plus will both allow you to train Siri to your voice, but "Hey Siri" will only work when the phone is plugged in. With the 6s and 6s Plus, in addition to training Siri to your voice, "Hey Siri" will work at all times, plugged in or not.
Yea, not sure why its an iPhone 6S feature.
They say its because the M9 chip is always on.
Don't understand why when you plug in the iPhone 6, the M8 chip can do Hey Siri but when its not, it can't.
Is that a fact? If so, please provide proof. They could enable hey Siri on m8 but it's disabled to up sell the 6s, the whole m9 always on is pure marketing
The M8 isnt designed to work with Hey Siri when not plugged in. The M9 just got the power efficiency to do it without remote power.Don't understand why when you plug in the iPhone 6, the M8 chip can do Hey Siri but when its not, it can't.
