So Jailbreakers wait a WHILE to upgrade?

I keep hearing of 3.1 having problems, on top of the fact that it erases the jailbreak. No point to even use the 3.1 Jailbreak if 3.1 is supposedely unstable and messes up some iPhones. Will MMS have to wait for some of us jailbreakers, until a 3.1.1?

OP: MMS isn't going to require an OS update, it will simply be activated by AT&T and possibly a carrier file update.

My jailbreak went fine. Running 3.1 on my iPhone (2G). 3.1.1 is for iPod touches.

I did get a scare when iTunes 9 threw up a "Connecting to activation server" dialog but I figured the tool disabled it when it asked me earlier. If not, it didn't hurt the phone or anything.

3gs jailbreakers are waiting, 3g owners have a safe jailbreak i believe.

saying that, i can't say that i'm at all concerned with the wait considering the problems some people are reporting and the fact that personally, 3.1 offers me nothing that i want or need.

Moved straight to pwn JB 3.1 - I now have no carrier logo and more annoyingly no MMS.

May have to go to stock 3.1 and re-jailbreak - though that means no unlock.

I second that. I'm in no hurry to move to 3.1 and MMS won't require an update so I'm good right now - as long as I don't have to restore for some reason that is.

I'm in the UK - I already had MMS on 3.0. JB 3.1 pinched it.

I'm a 3gs owner and Jailbroken and yes I have to wait for 3.1...not that I care for anyways, nothing special to see

However, I do have MMS enabled, so I REALLY REALLY don't care

+1. Didn't see anything in 3.1 less the ability to set up screens on iTunes that would make me upgrade and lose JB. 3gs owner here with MMS working so no need to upgrade.
