With MobileMe you could log in online and then see all of your mail, contacts, photos etc. However, now, with iCloud there's no online bit - for example Mail on your iPad goes to Mail on the Mac, and there's no place to login, online to view the mail that's synced with iCloud. Is this correct? (More importantly, do you understand my bad grammar? :) EDIT: I know the title is badly worded.)

There is no mention of your online services from any of the Apple press releases.

Lets wait and see. But in my opinion, they are going to turn them off. Because they want you to buy a lot of iPhones iPad and iPod touch. :(

I hope that they (re)introduce it, and introduce streaming. :)

Obviously pure speculation since as pointed out, nothing official has been said either way. But I tend to think that they will keep the web apps. How do you compete against other cloud services unless you have such an interface? They already have the basis for it with www.me.com. And they sell more Macs, iPhones, iPods and iPads if they have a more accessible service ("you mean I can just hop on any computer when I'm away and get to all of my mail... just like Google except better?").

I hope this is true. I occasionally have to use an old Windows 7 PC that has Outlook 2003 (which I doubt will work with iCloud), so I'm hoping they will have some form of web access so I can get my email and calendar when on the PC.

Is anyone else having problems accessing the MobileMe website ? I can´t get it to open! I have a subscription.

How else would you check your email on one of the Macs in the Apple Store?

They will sell you an iPad :D and help you set it up in the store.

Seriously, I think they should get all the web apps in iCloud, that includes Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Gallery, iDisk...... But we aint going to get everything back.
