SO multitasking not working now?

Just intalled OS 4.0 on my 3Gs and found out no apps truly can run background at this time. I know those apps need to get the APIs first but how about the original apps such as iTunes and App Store? It will start over too when I switch apps. Need information from users that are same with me......

They will need to be updated if not already done.
 
YouTube stays open. Play with that for the next few months.:p

Settings too. Some stock apps support it now.
