PS It´s great, I upgraded from a 20", this thing is BIG

Wow, having a toddler next to the box really makes it seem that much bigger. Be careful it doesn't fall on her, you might lose her for days under that thing!!!

They still don't have one at the CompUSA near my house and I haven't made the 4 hour trek to the Apple store in Orlando to check one of these bad boys out for myself.

For some people, the extra 4" is worth it. You should see both in a store to tell if it's a big deal for you. It is for me.

Otherwise, for gamers, the better video card in the 24" makes a big difference.

I agree with you on that.
Also, I use it to watch DVD´s and for editing so the 4" extra was worth it for me.
I also upgraded the graphics card and added 2 gig of RAM. The RAM I will notice, but the graphics card was more for future proofing

I'm now thinking 24" too. Also, I will get a TV tuner towards the end of the month and use it on my MBP. Eventually this will migrate over to my iMac and I will then only really need a TV for games consoles, which I rarely play anyway.

I'm just thinking TV/DVD taking up to half my screen space while working/browsing would be ideal. A 24" screen would make this a lot more comfortable too.

The 7600GT video card blows the 7300 & X1600 out the water in gaming. Quake is barely playable on the 7300 & 1600 but on the 7600GT you can practically max out all the settings.

It was totally worth it for me.

I don't know what to do now. I want to switch from PC to Mac and I have been pricing out the iMac 20". There is absolutely no way I can fit a 24", as I can just barely squeeze a 20" into the place I will be using it. Problem is that I keep hearing all these great things about the video cards that you can get on a 24", and that you can't get on a 20". Granted, I am not a huge gamer, but I do have a bit of a collection that I like to mess with once in awhile. I do want to start working on some home movie editing, and I do alot online, so to those that have moved from a 20" to a 24", what do you think? I know you love your 24 and I'm sure I would also, but is the video card likely to be a big holdback in the near future? I'm betting (or full of hope) that even the regular video card in the 20 is as good as the current video card that I have in my PC, if not better.

People call the white casing (that surrounds the actual display) the "chin." If you think of the screen as a face, the thick white bang of plastic underneath it is the "chin."
