iPod so my ipod's playing up.....

i've got a 120gb iPod classic that shows up in the finder but won't show up in itunes at all. i've done the 5 R's apart from restore because it won't show in itunes. is there anything i can do to fix this? it's less than 6months old so if it's broke already i won't be a happy bunny

have you tried the fun stuff, like trying a different cable, port and computer?

Do you hear the mounting noise (if on win.)?

Again, if windows, does it show up as an unknown device in Device managaer in the control panel?

Try reinstalling iTunes.

i managed to get it to work somehow, although after i;d restored it and gone to sleep, i awoke to find out that it ha gone into recovery mode and needed to be restored yet again. i noticed it's done this a few times recently, i don't know if it's just because i leave it in a docking station connected to my mac or if it's actually just knackered. any ideas?

You get a year's warranty so go get it repaired/replaced.
