Im waiting for a WIDE SCREEN, 4K, IPAD, SUITABLE for viewing Movie without letter box screens, and the 4K resolution that we can buy or rent...

4K doesn't really make sense on an iPad of 10.5", which would come out to about 458 PPI, which is the same as the iPhone XS/Max. You typically hold an iPad further away from your face than an iPhone, so you wouldn't really be able to tell.

I think something close to 4K makes more sense on a 12.9" iPad. Apple will eventually do what they always do and have it be a multiplier, which would be 3X UI point scale, which in this case computes to 3336x2502 for a 10.5", which works out to around 397 PPI. I can't imagine ever needing a higher resolution display than that in a tablet form factor—and I can say that not being ignorant of the future, but by being aware of the limits of human physiology.

For instance, I can see the purpose of having perhaps even higher resolution AR/VR headsets because they sit right on our eyes and we would be able to resolve it. But will higher resolution tablet displays happen in the future? Likely, but it will be a marketing gimmick, much like the people who rushed out several years ago to buy a 55" 4K TV and sit 10-12ft away from it, negating the benefit of 4K given the small size of their display relative to the great distance they were sitting from it relative to the ability of their eyes to resolve the additional pixels.

I hope they focus more on fixing the unresponsive touchscreen flaw. I'm on my 4th iPad Pro because the first 3 had this problem.
Might be time to invest your money in products you're satisfied with.

I experience unresponsive touchscreen as well but thought it‘s either because of the 12.2 beta or because of a game because I experience it mostly in that game or shortly after playing it. Locking and unlocking usually fixes it. Most times the center of the screen is unresponsive but sometimes the whole screen is. What are your issues exactly? Whole screen, part/s of the screen?

The issue seems heat related so charging or playing a 3d game will increase heat and cause the issue. pubg on basic settings will cause the issue and become unplayable. Thats fine, I stopped playing pubg, but then the issue got worse until I couldn't even use the soft keyboard without having to repeatedly tap on a key and wait a moment for it to work. Other games that are not resource intensive would not work either, I could not play even play FTL. I do not use a screen protector. Just a stock folio cover.

Hm, that‘s weird but would explain it. The only graphics intense game that I play and that I experience this issue in is Need for Speed No Limits. Have been playing it earlier today for over an hour, noticed my iPad was getting quite hot but no unresponsiveness(?) this time.

Out of curiosity: do you have a 11" or 12.9" Pro? Mine is a 12.9".

It's the 12.9. Next time you play for an hour, plug in the iPad so it can recharge, this is when the issue is the worst when its warmed up and also recharging.

This is all true^

it is a nightmare dealing with it. My latest iPad is still smooth, but it was a bumpy road to get here.

First i would not want 4k on either the 12.9 or 11...I WANT A WIDESCREEN AT LEAST 15 DIAG... And as for seeing it, I want to be looking at 4K...

First of all, HD is 720P. The iPad 11” is running 4 times this resolution. How is that not HD?

The 11” iPad resolution is pretty similar to QHD.

It offers 265 ppi. This is slightly higher ppi than a 4K 17” laptop.

Excellent for movies.

15" diagonal minimum with 4K? You don't want an iPad, you want a small TV. The device you're looking for won't ever be made as an iPad.

I was about to get snarky with you, but thats funny... well, I hope it was an attempt at humor. ;-)

Also, if you are 62 with eye-sight good enough to really want and appreciate a 4k screen on a 15" tablet, I think you have a lot to be grateful for.

... but yeah, I wouldn't wait for a 15" widescreen iPad. Enjoy what you have available now. The sharpest iPad screen available happens to be the just announced new 2019 iPad Mini at 326ppi, but sadly the screen is only 7.9 inches and just barely shows a wee bit more than 1080p.

Considering how niche that product would be, it may never come out. I'd be surprised if they had even looked in that direction.

Sony has a device that comes close to what you're looking for, in a phone form factor. Check out the Xperia 1.

Highly unlikely. 4K in such a small screen is nonsense, completely disregarding the power draw for a mobile device (right, Sony?). Go for a 21.5 inch 4K iMac if you insist - but you won't see this on iPad.
