Fieldrunners is my favorite iOS game. I can beat 3 out of 5 maps on Hard and have played it more than any other game on my iPhone/iPad.

It's been a year since there's been a single iPhone update as far as I can tell, and the iPad experience is very similar. Seems they're just reaping the cash and looking to other platforms, ignoring iOS? Fieldrunners for iPad is $8, super expensive for a 5-level game. It's good, and quite replayable, but I'm disappointed that they haven't produced any new levels in over a year.

Does anyone have any info?

My recent update did show weapons upgrades and new maps. Have you completed those yet? This update just took place last month.

Wow

Thanks, I hadn't checked in a couple weeks (I glanced briefly at the store as I posted but didn't mark the difference) so no, I don't have those 3 new maps. I'm downloading them now and... yeah I still think 12 months between updates is crazy, but I'm excited to have new maps to try to master.

Haven't had interest in this app since they added the 2 more levels. Screw them. Plants vs Zombies is way better anyway.

Fieldrunners is more re-playable than PvZ

I've played both for dozens, possibly hundreds of hours. Fieldrunners is way more re-playable since there are different game modes (4 towers, 6 towers or Endless) with various difficulties.

I played PvZ on Mac, beat it all the way through, mastered every level, then did it again on iPhone, then iPad, there is no challenge in that game at all for me.

I still find Fieldrunners challenging (can't beat any of the levels on Hard without losing a life) - even more-so with the new levels. I think of PvZ as basically having 3 levels (front yard, back yard, rooftop).

The multiplayer in Fieldrunners for iPad is great. My 5 year old son and I play all the time (since yesterday) - I coach him, he does some of his own creations, and I can make my half of the screen deadly enough to compensate for his creative tower placement. $8 is steep, but I play it a TON so it's worth it.
