I just bought the customized imac a week ago and it has the screen bleed problem and a dead pixel. Yea one dead pixel but it bothers me.

So is there anything I could do? Get my money back or so? I called apple care they just told me to take to the apple store. Really good help... lol

So I have an appointment tommorrow but just wondering.

thanks

do you think they would return if it was my case?

maybe for the screen bleed but definitely not the dead pixel, omg apple is such a b!tch when it comes to dead pixels, they say its okay to have 20 dead pixels on their 30 inch display, thats only black pixels, they don't consider red green and white pixels dead. omg they need a slap on this one

Sorry if it is off topic but is 2 screen bleeds, one on top and one on the botton, enoigh reason for them to take it, and what would they do?

I returned a BTO Macbook Air because of 3 dead pixels...had to ship it back first, give them the tracking number, then they processed the new one.

I was told that the official policy for replacing a computer is at least 5 dead pixels, however they will do it once for less than 5. If it occurred again, and had less than 5, they said it would not be eligible for replacement (the person then said you probably could make a fuss about it and get it replaced).

I remember having a "Wall Street" Powerbook G3 with only 3 dead pixels and that was considered an outstanding screen... 5 dead pixels was average and Apple wouldn't replace it unless it had about 20...

Kids these days and their 1-dead-pixel anxiety ;)
