i have/had two 5th gen 30gb ipod video one of them the hard drive no longer wanted to hold music or anything. i tried everything that i could think and everything that i had found on the web...nothing worked. the other ipod hard drive was working just fine but the screen and headphone jack were crushed. so i had a great idea...so i thought. i took the hard drive from the one with the broke screen/jack and switched it with the one that has the bad hard drive. it started to power up
the apple screen loaded but then it said the battery was low so i connected to my computer. then the sad ipod thing can up
so i disconnected it and restarted it a screen came up saying to restore it so i connected it to my computer again but my computer wont even pick it up. then it just kinda flows though the apple screen / low battery / restore. any ideas of what to do now? i guess its not a huge loss because they didn't work the way that they were. i was just hoping that i could hold off on getting a new one for a little longer.
thanks a ton
