Well I worked hard all summer and got all my movies ripped and am about halfway through my television seasons. I plan on finishing those during Thanksgiving break (I'm a high school teacher btw) but now the problem is....

I ripped all of those using the Apple TV setting on Handbrake and looking back I think... "why oh why didn't I do some more research and use a the ipod high rez with the settings cranked up so I could save a movie or two on occasion to my iPhone or my iPod Classic"....

So my question is... Any programs out there to convert the .mp4 I've ripped into an .mp4 that my iPhone/iPod Classic will understand? I really don't want to drag all my DVDs out of storage for this process. There has to be an easy way...

Thanks guys for all your help.

iTunes should do it for you. Right click on the movie and pick "create iPod version".

The alternative is iSquint, or for more encoding options its big brother VisualHub.

Appreciate both replies but...

Right clicked on the file... iPod selection not there. Something different in the new iTunes?

Visual Hub and iSquint no longer available. :(

Any other options?

ozarkchoir - if you encode it at Ipod high rez, isn't it going to be lesser quality when you watch it through a plasma or LCD TV?
I.e. doesn't it have to stretch the image out to make it fit the screen ok?

Also, when you encode, are you using HB?

Wow I can't believe they shut down Visualhub. I love that program. I'm glad I have it.
