My events (ical) started on one device randomly don't post on my other devices. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I have had so many problems with MMe as demonstrated by my numerous threads on it I've started. So over it and tired of troubleshooting it. Apple is zero help by the way.

Two weeks ago, a number of my contacts had their info (address, phone number, etc) repeated 10 times. Obviously I didn't go through a bunch of contacts and repeat data over and over. Posted a thread on that one also.

Am I the only one?

My push email on my iPad randomly starts and stops on its own. When it stops, it stops for days.

I then go in and save and send the logs to my MobileMe Sr support guy that is working with my Executive Care guy.

They (engineering) can't sort it out, they have declared 3 times it was fixed. And it was... For 3-4 days.

Anyway, it's been going on this way for awhile now.... I thought I'd hear an update today because I got told friday it had gone on too long and it was time to just fix it.

I dunno..... But didn't have this problem until they erased my inbox when moving me to a new server. Since then.... Ugh. I'd like it to just work.

I keep expecting to hear that I need to wait for iOS5 and iCloud. Which isn't an option right now for me on the computer side..... My parents are having off and on strange calendar issues. I probably am too - but am using google for my calendar instead of MM so I can't see it.

Good luck, I hope it stays working for you.

I had many of these same issues on MobileMe but since moving to iCloud it seems to be working much more reliably across my devices/Macs. Hopefully it will solve these issues for the rest of you.

I've been using MobileMe since day one. It's been decent but not one of Apples strengths. It's well known that Apple is weak in cloud services. Yet I've renewed year after year out of loyalty to Apple.

Rumors that iCloud is going to be a combination effort with Microsoft and Amazons help is very encouraging. I have a problem believing the story that suddenly just because Apple threw a bunch of money into a big data center, that it will fix the problem. Apple does lots of things well but they can't do everything perfect and cloud services is their weak spot.

As hard as they work to hide their secrets, Apples got a lot of people watching them on this one. It will prove interesting.

Here is an interesting twist.... When the MobileMe dude called me in thursday he said dome of the times my mail isn't pushing, the iPad logs indicate that it has changes to fetch. I'm so not not doing that!! Mine is getting worse with starting and stopping... Didn't work yesterday, started overnight. Ugh.

Anyway, I think I'm trapped in a bug!

ETA 9/14: confirmed it is an iOS bug at this time, but alas, no available warm or cold body to look at it and see about getting it fixed because all of them are working on iOS5. Basically a, "sucks to be you" kind of scenario..... Joy. Reminds me of my exchange server bug back in the day - I loved having a level two engineer's direct number. Not.

So, just to update, I am still having the issue.

I enter an event into iCal on my phone. It shows up on me.com, but NOT on my MBP's iCal. Also, I enter an event on my MBP iCal, and it shows on me.com, but not my iPhone. I mean, it will post in a few hours, days, whatever, but that doesn't help me.

Part of the reason I stick with Apple is for the ecosystem, but if the ecosystem keeps failing this way I will have no problem leaving. Get your Sh!* together Apple. I am sick of this. I use your service to sync my devices for my job and need it to work properly.

iPhone not syncing with iCal

I am having the same syncing issues yesterday and today. Beyond frustrating. Events entered into iPhone calendar do not show on iCal on iMac. What do we do now?

Mine is usually very consistent between my iPhone and Air, but not so much with my iPad 2. With the iPad it pretty much just syncs when it feels like it, which is sometimes days late. :(

iCloud??

Everyone seems to be noticing problems just recently, me included. Could it have anything to do with iCloud being made ready? It is supposed to be available for use this fall, whenever that is.

I've noticed too, that iPad is the last and slowest to sync with iCal changes. It really is inconvenient.

Ohhhh, you have my bug too. Misery loves company!

In my case, for mail, the logs have confirmed that push is turning itself OFF, then back on at random. The iOS team has no one available to work in it at the moment..... But my logs are in their to do box. MobileMe worked on/looked at the issue for 4 plus weeks....

Just an update...as another user said, I can confirm (apparently) that events entered into my iPhone do not sync to my iPad or iCal, but do sync to me.com. Nothing I've tried has fixed it.

Those were the things I tried. Well, hadn't reset the phone yet, but maybe now I won't bother. So so frustrating.

Is there any other recourse? I tried chat with MMe support a year or so ago. Found that less than helpful. They were just adamant the problem was the software and not MMe. They didn't fix the issue.

Well, seeing how I just had 4 weeks of Executive Level care on my issue, whom had with direct contact with engineers and it hasn't been resolved, all I can say is call the myiphone number and report it. The more reports of it, the more it might get attention - especially if it is carrying over into ios5.

Calendars have been wayyy funky for my parents and I'm sure it is the same thing you guys are having.

Did you plan to migrate to iCloud right away?

I'm sick of iCal/MobileMe. Actually, to be more precise, I hate iCal on the iPhone. My Mac and MobileMe website sync fine (and instantly); it's my phone I'm having a problem with. It's been fine since last October and about a week ago I started having issues where events arent getting pushed to the phone and created events on my phone aren't getting pushed out.

I use my calendar a lot while at work and every morning when I get home I have to re-enter the stuff on my Mac. Tried all the various "fixes" and it still doesn't work.

While frustrating these are temporary problems at this point. Once the transition is complete and everyone's on iCloud by Microsoft, the service will be very fast and reliable. I'm looking forward to it.

Possible solution....

I figured this out while on hold with apple care.

Goto settings/ Mail,contacts
Turn OFF calendar, reminder, notes, contacts on all accounts
EXCEPT iCloud.

Seemed to be the prob for all my woes.
Hope it helps y'all.
