I'm confused.......as usual......with all this recent posting of the new Macs or Itunes update not reading a DFU phone....It stops you from jailbreaking? Does it also stop you from using itunes to restore your iphone to normal after it was already jailbroken? or both? thanks

Um, yes it does but let's break this down a little more for you:

Yep.

Yes, because there's a kernel bug with USB that "disables" iTunes from recognizing a jailbroken iPhone in DFU mode.

Does it also stop you from using itunes to restore your iphone to normal after it was already jailbroken?
No. That would mean no one with an iPhone would be able to upgrade.

Hope that clears it up a bit.
