I find this interesting.

They doubled the storage on the iPhone 13 & Mini at no additional cost but kept the storage the same on the 13 Pro & Max and price the same as well.
 
I think that 128 GB is still a very reasonable base storage for most consumers, even on the Pro lineup. I personally wouldn’t use anywhere near 256 GB on my 12PM

Just seems like they added more value in to getting the 13.
 
The consumers that go Pro usually don't mind their budget as much.

This is similar to iPhone 8, without the storage upgrade, there wouldn't be enough new features on the sell sheet. The diagonal camera layout can only do so much.
