my imac g3 from 1999 has TWO firewire ports. My emac from 2003 has TWO firwire ports. My macbook from 2006 has a firewire port

its ridiculous how at that price, there is no firewire port on the macbook. many things use it and lets face it, it is loads better than usb

Not the only problems. Still has vampire video (although FAR better), a mirror for a screen cover and its going to eat into their Macbook Pro sales quite a lot since its now just a mini-me.

Losing firewire was a really poor choice. EVERY mac model should have FW800 by now, its a 5 year old standard!

One other thing i noticed during the keynote was no applause.Dead silent when he dropped the price of the white macbook.

But now I am here..
As for the old Macbook price drop. For whatever reason, here in the UK it managed to get more expensive instead! Not by much (Roughly $40), but it's still more.

That's because this was a press event. You'll hear plenty of cheers and applause at events for the faithful like MW and WWDC.
