The MobileMe launch last week has been a disaster... but what if anything will come of this?

All we will get is likely a statement that the service will up "as soon as possible," and that Push from Mac to the "cloud" will be implemented a "latter date."

I don't expect to see any money, but maybe a free month of service or something to that affect.

Apple will make a lot of $$...

It is now all about the iPhone (which is a great phone). Most of the issues everyone is having will be addressed sooner or later. Snow leopard will clear everything up in the end (a year from now).

If Apple doesn't want a Microsoft-style disaster making people think that maybe they don't have the Midas touch after all, they'll make it at least usable (if not valuable). Otherwise, given the hoopla they created for this thing (including a healthy dose of "it'll do what .mac should have done but didn't"), it'll be their Windows ME.

They'll do nothing at all, and pretend it never happened. At the next keynote, Steve the Magician will just go on about how many people bought iPhones and signed up for MobileMe, which just shows how great it is.

Meanwhile, the homepage feature will still be unavailable, and push won't work as described.
