I have a bad feeling that some of the noise problems will make it into the Macbooks when they are released... So, lets say I order one from Apple and I do not get Apple Care...

Can I still send it back and get another one if there are noise problems with my new MacBook?

Yeah, you should be able to, depending on how generous Apple is feeling. AppleCare is really just an extension of your warranty, giving you a longer opportunity to take advantage of the warranty features.. :)

All Apple computers come with a 1-year warranty. So any problems you have in the first year would still be covered.

You also have that first year to decide if you wish to extend AppleCare to 3 years.
