Does it impact any existing capabilities like itunes downloads, future upgrades to the iphone OS, etc? Thanks.
Search the forums. This question has been answered too many times.
It prevents future upgrades to the iPhone OS as long as the iPhone dev team can get out a new version of Pwnage/QuickPwn.
Actually, If you restore the phone, then upgrade iTunes and install the new firmware... you will be able to upgrade. Your device will just have to wait on the Devs to rejailbreak.
Right, so basically there are no downsides!
That's pushing it.
Downsides are that lag can be caused by some applications (like winterboard and itelliscreen), and that it voids your warranty.
It something happens and you can't restore but your jailbroken, you are screwed.
Not to mention, if you are not computer literate, you can potentially mess up your phone and mac.
it voids your warranty.
Yes, but only if you bring it in jailbroken. As soon as you restore the iPhone to stock firmware, you're eligible for warranty service.
i know this has been talked to death but why Jailbreak your phone.. is there better apps or something.
